Wielenspecialist Newmen verzorgt de roterende massa met z'n lichte maar sterke Performance 30-wielen. De snelle wedstrijdrubbers – Racing Ray en Racing Ralph – zijn van Schwalbe. Als afmaker monteerden we een Shimano XT 1x12-aandrijflijn: soepel, slijtvast en ondanks het enkele voorblad met een immens bereik van 510 procent. Van het rijden van PR's op de Heuvelrug tot serieuze podiumjacht in xc-wedstrijden: deze bike is er klaar voor. Frame omschrijvingEr is een goede reden dat het frame van de Reaction C:62 zulke vloeiende vormen en zo'n slanke staande achtervork heeft. Dat zorgt voor een laag gewicht, een hoge snelheid en een bovengemiddeld comfort. We hebben het frame met behulp van onze Twin Mold-productiemethode gemaakt van hoogwaardig C:62-carbon. Een strak uiterlijk en optimale functionaliteit gaan hand in hand. Zo ziet de geïntegreerde zadelpenklem er niet alleen fraai uit, maar vergroot deze tevens het rijcomfort. Een (semi-)geïntegreerde kabelgeleiding draagt eveneens bij aan het strakke voorkomen. En natuurlijk zit er op de achterpatten een UDH-montagepunt, zodat het frame toekomstbestendig is. En met een Size Split-maatreeks, die van XS tot XXL loopt, is het geen probleem een passende grootte te vinden.

Hoe verbeter je de rijervaring van wat feitelijk al een uitstekende bike is? Je voegt betere remmen toe. De hydraulische Shimano XT-schijfremmen op de Reaction SLX bieden betrouwbare en goed doseerbare stopkracht, waardoor niet alleen de veiligheid toeneemt, maar je ook sneller kunt rijden en je dus nóg meer plezier beleeft. Gecombineerd met de souplesse van de luchtgeveerde Judy-voorvork van RockShox en de legendarische schakelprecisie van de twaalf Shimano XT-versnellingen, is deze bike overal klaar voor. Een paar Schwalbe Racing Ralph-banden – licht rollend, soepel en met veel grip – maakt van deze fiets de perfecte offroad-verkenner.Frame omschrijvingDe fraaie en doordachte detaillering maakt van de Reaction een echte blikvanger. Check bijvoorbeeld de gladde lasnaden, de integratie van standaard- en schrijfrembevestiging en de eveneens geïntegreerde montagepunten voor achterspatbord en -bagagedrager. Uiteraard lopen de kabels netjes binnendoor en passen we bij de trapas onderhoudsvriendelijke schroeflagers toe. Het frame met trail-ready geometrie biedt dankzij de verlaagde bovenbuis volop bewegingsvrijheid en ruimte voor 2.25 inch banden. Bovendien hebben we de balhoofdbuis conisch gemaakt, voor meer stuurprecisie. En dan is er nog ons befaamde Size Split-systeem; of je nu kort bent of lang, je vindt altijd een perfect passende maat. Tot slot: mocht je een verstelbare zadelpen willen monteren: we hebben al een kabeldoorvoer in het frame aangebracht.
